Signs you require a keyboard replacement:

  • Water damage
  • Laptop keyboard– key sticking, jammed, bulging or hard to press
  • Keys fell off your keyboard– Unfortunately, the chances of finding a single key for your keyboard are slim. Sometimes the clips that hold the key are broken. So we recommend having a keyboard replacement instead of a repair
  • Backlight not working- Since many manufactures have decided to glue the backlight to the keyboard. The unit will come in one piece which will mean the keyboard will have to be replaced.
  • Keyboard not working properly-When typing are some of your keys not working or the incorrect key is being pressed.
  • Keyboard keys worn

Is it worth having my keyboard replaced?

Most defiantly yes! Replacing a keyboard is always a better option than purchasing a new laptop. Once a faulty keyboard has been replaced your laptop will be as good as new.

How long does a keyboard replacement take?

We aim to get your laptop working as fast as possible. We often can repair your laptop on-site or collect your laptop free of charge and return it to you the next day. However, if we don’t have the keyboard in stock it can take up to 3-4 days.

How long should a keyboard last?

A laptop’s keyboard should last the entire lifespan of the laptop. However, like anything, it is prone to wear and tear and often keys fall off or simply stop working or a spillage on the laptop can cause the keyboard to fail.
